An Awesome Start to August!
The past week brought plenty of sunshine, blue skies, and Island Lodge guests have been enjoying truly fantastic fishing. The westside of Langara Island has been on fire, there's been some hot tides at old favourites like Bruin Bay, and coho action offshore continues to impress. Here are just a few of the highlights from our first week of August and a few fun shots we missed from late July...
Watch out for Whales
Transient Orcas Visit Langara
The stealthy apex predator of the North Pacific. This small pod of transient orcas was seen cruising the kelp beds of Graham Island in search of a snack. Transients, also known as Bigg's killer whales, prey exclusively on marine mammals, including seals and sealions.
