Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions are applied to all packages at Langara Island Lodge. To protect your travel plans, it is strongly recommended that all guests purchase travel insurance to accompany their package.
Although we take great pride in fulfilling our guests' requests in every situation, we rarely make exceptions to our terms and conditions because of our short operating season and remote location.
Payment Schedule
In order to confirm your reservation, the following payments are required:
- First Payment
Stated and due on receipt of invoice. This payment secures your reservation at Langara Island Lodge.
- Final Payment
Due 120 days prior to trip start date.

Need to cancel?
In the event that you need to cancel or change the dates of your Langara Island Lodge trip, the following schedule applies, based on the trip date as indicated on your invoice:
- 120 days or more prior to trip date:
You will receive a refund on all monies paid, less a cancellation fee of $1,000.00 per person travelling.
- 60-119 days prior to trip date:
You will receive a refund on all monies paid less the cancellation fee of $5,000.00 per person travelling.
- Less than 60 days prior to trip date:
Monies paid are non-refundable.
Travel Insurance
Langara Island Lodge strongly recommends travel insurance for all guests. Insuring your trip is relatively inexpensive and gives peace of mind in the case of unexpected changes of plans or cancellations. Travel insurance benefits may include:
- Trip cancellations
- Trip interruptions
- Cancellation due to health reasons
- Medical expense coverage
- Changes to travel
Travel insurance can be purchased online or via your local insurance company.
Unforeseen Events
In the event that Conditions Beyond Our Control (see following definition) result in our requiring, at our discretion, to change or cancel any bookings, the following terms will apply:
- You first have the option of applying the full amount paid to another trip of the same value or more in the following operational year.
- If the cancellation occurs prior to April 1st of the year of your scheduled trip, we will refund 85% of all monies paid.
- If the cancellation occurs on or after April 2nd of the year of your scheduled trip, we will refund 70% of all monies paid.
Conditions Beyond Our Control
This includes any act of God, war, terrorism, fire, flood, or any other inclement weather or sea conditions or act of nature; mechanical breakdown; loss of power; epidemics or pandemics; industrial disputes, slowdowns, or other strike activities; political unrest, riots, or civil disturbances; prohibitions, direction, policies, or acts of government; quasi- or de facto-government or other authorities; inability to obtain any necessary license or consent; and delays caused by subcontractors, suppliers, or other third parties (including telecommunications carriers); material shortages; or services and any other disruption to our operations occurring beyond our control.
