Our hiring process for the 2024 season is nearly complete, but that'd doesn't mean you shouldn't apply as we sometimes have openings during the season. Qualified applicants will be contact for interviews by our Lodge Manager. Please note priority will be given to applicants who are available for our full season that runs May to September.
Join Our Guide Team
Island Lodge is home to a core team of experienced professional guides. On occasion there are openings for full and part-time guiding positions. New applicants must have previous guiding experience and all relevant Transport Canada tickets.

The dock staff at Island Lodge are an integral part of our operation. Positions on the dock are well-suited to energetic, customer-service oriented individuals who work well in a team setting. Preference given to applicants with previous marine employment experience.

Front of House Positions
Our front of house team is responsible for making our guest experience at the lodge ever welcoming. Do you have previous serving or housekeeping experience and want to soak in a summer in Haida Gwaii? Then Langara Island Lodge may have a spot for you!

Langara Island Lodge has always put a focused emphasis on creating the most memorable dining experience for our guests. Kitchen positions include lead, sous and pastry chefs, breakfast cooks and stewards. Preference given to applicants who are available from early May to late September.

Other Positions
There are other exciting full-time and part-time positions at Langara. These include Vancouver based administrative and sales positions as well as management roles. Our trusted maintenance team keeps the lodge operating throughout the year and applicants with previous resort maintenance or trade backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
