Another Big Fish Week

There have been some big fish around over the past few days, here are the latest happenings from mid July. Fishing has remained consistent throughout the past week with strong northwest winds pushing new waves of fish on every tide. The usual haunts of Boulder Bay, Bruin Bay and Channel Reef have produced quality fish on both the ebb and flood tides.

The east side of Langara Island has offered shelter from the northwest winds with Cohoe Point and Andrew's Point firing as waves of chinooks and cohos roll through. The abundant schools of needlefish on Langara Island's east side have enticed salmon all season, keeping anglers (and guides!) busy with some epic bites. Last Morning Magic

A Buzzer Beater Tyee!

A buzzer beater tyee caught on changeover day morning by angler Lev Skolnic at Bruin Bay. This fish, guided by CJ Jarvis, measured out to 31 pounds and was released after this quick photo.

Getting out on the water on arrival and departure days is a big part of the Langara Island Lodge program, maximizing your fishing time!
