Early August at Langara

This season seems to be flying by, and with a spectacular July in the wake, we now enter August. A low-pressure system cooled fishing a bit early in the week, but things have been improving since! There's some fantastic coho fishing on the northern points of Langara, and chinook salmon have been finding their way back to the Graham Island shoreline as well. Bruin Bay and Boulder have both proved to be consistent on the right tides. A run to Green Point was also well worth it on Friday morning for several of our boats.

Our 30th season here at Langara Island has been special, to say the least. The fishing has been excellent all season; we've had so many returning guests that we love to welcome and an awesome staff. Chef Richard Benson and his culinary program have received rave reviews, with many saying it is the best food they've ever had at Island Lodge. Here's to wishing the season would slow down a bit and the latest from late July and the first few days of August...

So Far Away from Anything...

Yet so Close to Everything

There's lots to love about a trip to Langara Island Lodge, but everyone is always impressed by how close our fishing grounds are to the docks. Some of the best salmon spots on the coast are literally minutes from the dock. No long runs here means more time on the water!
