Langara Island Lights Up!
An absolutely magnificent week at Langara Island Lodge with superb fishing island-wide. The westside of Langara saw nonstop chinook and coho bites while Andrew's Point had some hot snaps of chinook action. Offshore Seath has been the spot if you're looking for wily cohos. We'd be hard pressed to ask for a better week of weather and fishing at Langara, here are a few highlights from early August...
What is that?
A blue lingcod?
Yes, on occasion we catch small lings that have a blue colouring to them. This is a natural phenomenon caused by a pigment called biliverden, which can be found in the blood of some of these fish. Only about 20% of lings have this smurfy hue.
