Midseason Magic at Langara Island
We're now at the midway point of our 2024 season at Langara Island Lodge. Fishing has been very good this past week, with some nice chinooks on the kelp and lots of cohos offshore. Bottom fishing has been consistent and the weather has been pleasant with calmer seas.
Seath and Andrew's points have been the hotspots with solid halibut fishing on the westside. Here are a few photos and some big fish tales from mid July at Langara Island.

A Big Halibut Story
Guide Pat Vidito is well known for putting on a Turducken feast for his friends during the Christmas season. Fitting, he should catch this turkey (a bigger halibut) weighing in at 40 pounds right off the Island Lodge dock during our lunch break. The LIL guide team can never get enough fishing!
