Sunny Days of Late August
Where has this weather been all season?! The last week at Langara has brought some fabulous days, soaking northern Haida Gwaii in some much-welcomed sunshine. Fishing has been a bit more sporadic over the past week, but there have been really good flurries of chinook fishing at Cohoe and Andrew's points, the offshore Jalun area, and a few thicker fish pushing against the Graham Island shoreline again.
Coho salmon have returned over the past few tides, with some big ones in the mix! Bottom fishing on Langara's western waters continues to be nothing short of incredible, with plenty of hungry halibut and lingcod. We're in the final countdown at Island Lodge, with only one week left in our 2025 season. Here are the latest happenings from late August at Langara...

Delivering Smiles all Sumer Long
Safe to say that Jadie Hill had a few fans out there this summer, bringing snacks and smiles to the guide boats all season. Now she's off to Montreal to finish her last year at art school. We'll miss you, Jades, thanks for keeping things lively this season!
