Taking your fish home
Catch Care
Sharing your catch with friends and family is one of the joys of any fishing trip. At Langara Island Lodge your catch will be professional filleted, vacuum packaged and flash frozen. You will have the choice of taking your fish home frozen or having it sent a cannery for further processing.
If you decide to take your fish home, it will be readied in a styro-box with ice packs. Fish will stay frozen for up to about 15 hours. If you are staying at the Fairmont Airport Hotel the fish can be stored there in their freezer facility. More information on cannery services is below.
Canning & Smoking of Your Catch
St. Jean's Cannery
Looking to enjoyed some smoked salmon or maybe you'd like your fish canned? We can send your fish directly to St. Jean's Cannery for further processing.
On departure you can decide what you'd like done with each fish and once your order is completed, St. Jean's will send your fish directly to you. Processing time is 4-6 weeks.
